"Arise...and walk!" is the name of a combined book & Bible study on the connection between our spirituality, our humanity, and our eating habits. The discussion will be based on the book, Women, Food and God, by Geneen Roth. The group will meet weekly on Tuesdays, starting on February 7, at 2 p.m. Discussion will be led by William Weybright, M.D., and a short Bible study & meditation on each week's topic will be led by Pastor Janice Shull. Personal essential items are being accepted at the Venice Community Church of the Brethren. Items currently needed include feminine hygiene items, children's diapers, soap, deodorant, shampoo, batteries, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. Items will be donated to the Community Assistance Ministry at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
