Venice Community Dinners The Venice Interfaith Community Association has formed a community dinner program committee for the purpose of organizing weekly dinners for our neighbors in need. Named "Venice Community Dinners," the program, under the direction of Carol Burmeister Prichard, is assembling churches to hold the dinners and to support the program. The seminars on World Religions, "Can't We All Just Talk Together?" This year's program is covering Civil Discourse and will include panel presentations and small group discussions about Health Care; Homelessness/Housing; Global Warming/Environment; and Immigration. Click here for more information.
The Taste of Faith potluck gathers area congregations under one roof to share food, hear music, and have conversation from the different faith traditions represented in our community. The Thanksgiving Eve Community Worship Service continues the 15-year tradition of an interfaith service of thanks and sharing resources with a program of readings and music. The collection is donated to area food banks.
Kids Creating Community was started in 2007 by VICA organizational member, the Venice United Church of Christ, and has expanded for the purpose of fostering understanding among children from different faith groups. Click here for more information.
